Michael co-founded Ironstone Capital in 2012 which was rebranded to ICA Partners in 2018. He has over 29 years’ experience advising in the infrastructure and energy sectors. His expertise includes strategic advice, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, listed and unlisted equity.
Prior to Ironstone and ICA, Michael was Head of Energy and Resources at RBS and Co-head of Utilities and Infrastructure at Goldman Sachs. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and Chartered Accountant Australia.

Prior to Ironstone and ICA, Aaron was Head of Infrastructure and Transport at the Royal Bank of Scotland. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Laws (Honours), and a Master of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Auckland.

Danny joined ICA Partners in 2014, and is an experienced public sector and infrastructure advisor with corporate advisory expertise also in the healthcare and property sectors.
Prior to joining ICA, Danny worked in the corporate finance teams at Royal Bank of Scotland (formerly ABN AMRO) and Deutsche Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and Bachelor of Laws from Monash University, and is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Courts of New South Wales and Victoria.

Jono Sloan joined ICA Partners in 2025 and has experience working in corporate M&A, debt and equity capital raising, and project finance.
Prior to joining ICA, Jono held positions as a Senior Manager at Armillary and Assistant Vice President at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and International Business) from the University of Canterbury.
Merrick joined ICA Partners in 2016, and has over 20 years of experience advising and working in small to medium businesses covering accounting, audit, reporting, taxation, company secretarial, business management, process improvements and new entity setups.
Prior to joining ICA, Merrick was Global Financial Controller for Partners In Performance – a global management consulting business. He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) from Macquarie University, and is a Chartered Accountant, Australian & New Zealand.
Dean joined ICA Partners in 2022 with over 15 years experience in the Australian power, utilities and infrastructure market spanning mergers & acquisitions, brownfield expansions and greenfield developments.
Prior to joining ICA, Dean spent 10 years with Snowy Hydro as General Manager Investment and Strategy, Commercial Director for Snowy 2.0 and Project Director for the Hunter Power Project. Preceding Snowy Hydro, Dean was in the Royal Bank of Scotland M&A team, focused on Power and Utilities. He holds a Master of Commerce (Honours) from the University of New South Wales.

Nicholas van Beek joined ICA Partners in 2025 through our graduate program, and has experience working on engagements across infrastructure, government, and renewables sectors.
Prior to joining ICA, Nicholas held an Intern position at VCF Capital Partners and a Law Clerk position at Piper Alderman. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney.
Lily Zhang joined ICA Partners in 2025 through our graduate program, and has experience working in advisory across renewable energy and financial services sectors.
Prior to joining ICA, Lily was a Corporate Advisory Intern at Adara Partners and a Process Safety Engineering Intern at Sherpa Consulting. She holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Hons) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from UNSW.
