In 2015, Spark Infrastructure (Spark) was part of an Australian-led consortium (NSW Electricity Networks) who took on the 99 year lease of TransGrid for total proceeds of $10.258 billion, including debt refinancing.
ICA Partners provided strategic advice to Spark regarding the financing of its 15.01% equity contribution. Spark financed the acquisition via a fully underwritten entitlement offer, renewed corporate debt facilities and cash on hand.
Following this, ICA Partners also advised Spark Infrastructure for its bid on Endeavour Energy in 2017.
